As reported by the Siya crew earlier today, Willard Katsande has put pen-to-paper on a new three-year deal at Kaizer Chiefs.
Soccer-Laduma spoke to Katsande’s representative, Edzai Kasinauyo, earlier this morning who confirmed that the contract was 90% done, and that it would be completed imminently.
Now, on Chiefs’ official website, the club have confirmed that the midfielder has signed on the dotted line, and that his new contract will keep him at Naturena until June 2017.
The Zimbabwean battler told the site of his happiness and landing a new deal, saying that it was his reward for working hard.
He said, “I am pleased with the way the negotiations went. To pen a new deal speaks volumes. It is all about hard work paying off. I will do the rest of the talking on the field of play to respond to this vote of confidence.”
Katsande joined Chiefs in 2011 after an impressive short spell with Ajax Cape Town.
