Katsande, a former Urban Warrior, picked up his fourth yellow card of the season in the recent 1-1 draw with Orlando Pirates, and will now sit out the game because of that.
It remains to be seen which player will come in for the suspended Zimbabwean, although Baxter may look for Reneilwe Letsholonyane to drop into the defensive midfield role, with a player like Siyabonga Nkosi filling the more attacking midfield position.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, Baxter said that he was wary of the threat posed by Muhsin Ertugral’s team. He said, “Sometimes they play very good football. They have got points so far in the league but they are not happy with their log position. Ajax have done well in many games.
“It is important to go out there and do the job. It will be folly of us to think that we are untouchable and we can’t lose. They beat us there last season.”
Chiefs will also be without the injured Knowledge Musona, while Kaizer Motaung Junior is also struggling with a knee complaint.
The two teams clash at Cape Town Stadium tomorrow night, with the game starting at 19h30.
