Following his side’s 2-0 win over Moroka Swallows in an Absa Premiership match on Friday night, Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande explains that his job is to keep the balance in the team.
Goals from Kingston Nkhatha and Knowledge Musona handed the Amakhosi the three points, but it was the determination and fight in the Chiefs midfield from Katsande that led to the victory.
The Zimbabwean international was a rock in the middle of the park and was handed the ‘Man of the Match’ award for his efforts on the night.
Speaking after the match Katsande admitted it was a tough game and explained his role in the team.
“First and foremost I would like to congratulate my teammates,” said Katsande.
“It was not an easy game, it was a derby and Moroka Swallows is a very good team.
“It was all about team work.
“My duty is to try and give the team balance in both attack and defence, so I try to keep it simple and do my job.”
