Kaizer Chiefs’ midfielder, Willard Katsande, has, on principal, agreed upon a new three-year deal at the club, though he is yet to put pen to paper.
The Siya crew reported in yesterday’s issue of Soccer-Laduma that the 27-year-old and his representative had opened talks with the Amakhosi regarding a new contract, and it seems that negotiations have gone well.
Edzai Kasinauyo, who looks after Katsande, told the crew, “We’ve agreed upon a three-year deal on principal and it’s 90% done. It should be completed in the next few days.”
Katsande is just one of a number of Chiefs players whose current contracts will expire at the end of June, though it looks as though the Amakhosi are making moves to tie down their most valuable players, with Tsepo Masilela’s contract also believed to be discussed at present.
Katsande is expected to take his place in Stuart Baxter’s starting XI when Chiefs take on Golden Arrows at Moses Mabhida Stadium tonight.
