Kaizer Chiefs striker, Katlego Mphela, promises to work even harder as he looks to get himself back among the goals following his finish over the weekend.
The 30-year-old striker scored his second goal of the season in the 4-0 Nedbank Cup win over Edu Sport this weekend, his first goal since breaking a bone in his foot back in August.
‘Killer’ injured himself scoring in that game, and now has two goals in two appearances for the Amakhosi so far this campaign after scoring on his return to action.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, Mphela said, “It felt good. I have been out for a long time and scoring the goal was a great confidence booster.”
“I will work even harder to get more goals. It was amazing. I scored just before getting injured and now I got a goal soon after coming on as a substitute. Two goals in two games. That’s not bad.”
The former Mamelodi Sundowns man will now be hoping to get his name on the scoresheet a few more times in the coming weeks as he seeks to help the Glamour Boys in their quest for silverware this season.
