The Siya crew can report that former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs striker, Katlego Mphela is training with Tshwane outfit, the University of Pretoria as he continues his search for new club ahead of the 2015/16 season.
Mphela was released by the Chiefs earlier this month following a disciplinary hearing after the 30-year old reportedly failed to attend major events including both the Amakhosi and PSL end-of-season awards ceremonies.
Once a revered striker at international level and for his former club Sundowns, Mphela has failed to deliver the same form for the Glamour Boys which made him one of the PSL’s top marksmen.
Subsequent to Chiefs settling his contract and handing him clearance, the Siya crew reported that Platinum Stars emerged as candidates for his signature.
'Killer' has also been linked with a possible move overseas as various reports have suggested that the Brits-born forward could play his football in China or the United Arab Emirates.
