AmaZulu goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini has expressed his disappointment on the mistake he made in the game against Wits last night.
Usuthu looked destined for their third consecutive win this season, until Kapini committed an error that allowed Getaneh Kebede to equalise for Gavin Hunt’s side.
“It’s the worst mistake any goalkeeper can ever make. It was not easy even coming out of the stadium. I’m grateful for the team because they encouraged me and it humbled me the way the Chairman and the directors all comforted me,” Kapini told AmaZulu’s official website.
The Zimbabwean is pleased with the support he has been getting from fellow goalkeeper Aubrey Mathibe and the members of the technical team.
“Aubrey and coach Graham Johnson (goalkeeper trainer) have been checking up on me every moment since last night, whether I’m alright, telling me to be focused and not let these silly mistakes happen again. I’d just like to thank the fans that came out at Bidvest Stadium.
"What happened was unfortunate and when given another opportunity I’ll do my best to show them the Kapini they know, by giving a dignified performance,” Kapini explained.
AmaZulu will host PSL log leaders SuperSport United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in their next game, this coming weekend.
