Chiefs Continue AmaZulu Run But…
Kaizer Chiefs are now 18 games unbeaten against AmaZulu, while Usuthu once more failed to beat the Amakhosi, however, it very nearly wasn’t the case.

The Glamour Boys haven’t been beaten by the Durban-based outfit in over 10 years since a 2-1 victory in March 2007, but would probably have surrendered that record to Cavin Johnson if it wasn’t for Itumeleng Khune’s penalty save at King Zwelithini last night.
While Chiefs’ unbeaten run against AmaZulu goes on, Wednesday evening’s result did bring to an end a seven-game winning streak that stretched back over five years.
Steve Komphela’s side became the first Glamour Boys outfit to drop points at AmaZulu since a 0-0 drawback in May 2012 and missed out on an opportunity to move up the Absa Premiership table into second place. Instead, they remain sixth.
Komphela’s team have managed to score just two goals in their last four games in all competitions, and have only the league title and Nedbank Cup to play for, having missed out on two trophies already this season.
Chiefs will remain in Durban following the draw against AmaZulu, with the club hosting Free State Stars at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
