Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that William Twala has joined Maritzburg United on loan for the rest of the season.

The Siya crew reported earlier this week that Maritzburg had submitted a loan offer for the 27-year-old winger, with Fadlu Davids keen to bolster his side before the transfer window came to an end.

Now, as the deadline approaches, Chiefs have confirmed that they have sent the player off for the rest of the campaign, issuing a tweet on their official account this afternoon.

Twala could potentially make his debut against a former side of his at the weekend when the Team of Choice face Orlando Pirates in the Absa Premiership.
