Deon Hotto’s yellow card against Black Leopards on Tuesday meant that he was suspended for the Clever Boys’ Nedbank Cup tie with Real Kings, however they managed to get the job done without him as they ran out as comfortable 4-0 winners on the night.
Now, with just a few days until they take on the Glamour Boys at FNB Stadium on Wednesday night, Gavin Hunt will be buoyed by the fact that the Namibian is once again available for selection.
Hotto has been a key figure for Wits since joining the club in 2018, contributing to several goals and assists as he solidified his place in Hunt’s starting XI – so much so that he’s already played upwards of 55 games for them over the past two seasons.
His return will certainly be something that Chiefs’ Ernst Middendorp is thinking about as he looks at ways to stop Hunt’s side next week, with the 28-year-old likely to be a threat in more ways than one.
Do you think Hotto should start v Chiefs?
