The latest news reaching the Siya crew is that Mamelodi Sundowns winger, Anthony Laffor, is likely to part ways with the club after the 2016/17 PSL campaign.
The player is currently in the last year of his contract with Masandawana and Siya sources have revealed that the 31-year-old is unlikely to extend his stay with the Brazilians- and could opt to ply his trade elsewhere in the PSL next season.
In June, Laffor fell into a dispute with the club after his late return to training ahead of a Champions League group stage encounter. However, the matter has since been resolved and the player returned to the squad.
Now, indications are that the Liberian will see his Sundowns contract come to an end in June 2017, and it is unlikely that Laffor will extend his stay with the club.
“Laffor seems to have made up his mind and it’s unlikely that he will be remaining with Sundowns next season,” a source revealed to the Siya crew.
The player has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs in the last two seasons, and now the Soweto giants could look to land the player on a free next year, if he opts against extending his stay with Ka Bo Yellow.
“He has a few options and a deal with Chiefs is a high possibility,” a source revealed to the Siya crew.
