Kaizer Chiefs are still in negotiations to sign Zimbabwean defender Teenage Hadebe ahead of the closure of the transfer window on Wednesday.
The centre back, who is currently contracted to Chicken Inn FC in the Zimbabwean Premier League, impressed Komphela and his technical team in training during a week-long trial at Naturena.
The Amakhosi have been in talks with Chicken Inn about signing the player. With the domestic transfer window closing tomorrow (Wednesday), as confirmed by the Premier Soccer League, Chiefs are working on finalising a deal with the 20-year-old before the midnight deadline.
“The talks are ongoing. There could be something for you in the next few hours. The player is currently in the national team,” a source told the Siya crew.
Chiefs currently have Erick Mathoho out injured, along with some of their other stars nursing knocks. The team will be aiming for improvement in their performances and results in the next game, after losing to Bidvest Wits and Cape Town City in the opening two games of the 2016/17 season.
