Kaizer Chiefs’ Khama Billiat has proven to be an inspiration for a whole professional club in Zimbabwe for the progress he is making in his career.
Since joining Chiefs after leaving Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of last season, Billiat has hit the ground running for Giovanni Solinas’ team at the Soweto giants.
The Zimbabwean has become an instant hit and a crowd favourite to Chiefs’ fans with his scintillating performances in creating and scoring goals.
Billiat has already scored five goals and made a number of assists from the 10 games he has played in all competitions for Amakhosi so far this season.
In his home country, Zimbabwe, local club Bulawayo Chiefs are inspired by Billiat as they try to make a name for themselves in their first season in the top flight there, after being promoted last year.
The team that is currently sitting 12th in an 18-team log is looking up to Billiat for inspiration, with them recently confirming that in a message sent directly to the former Mamelodi Sundowns star through their official Twitter account.
“Greetings to our inspiration @iamkhamabilliat, our Zimbabwean hero pushing the Chiefs across Limpompour, our lads look (up to) you,” the club tweeted.
