Khune Travels For Chiefs After Allergy Scare

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, looks to be ok to start for the team against AmaZulu after suffering an allergic reaction a few days ago.
Khune, who has made a recovery from a facial fracture that he sustained earlier this month, started in the Telkom Knockout defeat to Bidvest Wits over the weekend but became a possible doubt for tonight’s clash because of an allergic reaction to prawns.
However, there is good news for Steve Komphela and the Amakhosi faithful, with the 30-year-old present in camp as Chiefs prepare to take on Usuthu at King Zwelithini Stadium this evening.
While it remains to be seen whether Komphela will opt to start the Bafana Bafana international, Khune has posted a video on Instagram that shows that the swelling has gone down in his face, suggesting that he is fully fit and raring to go.
The Glamour Boys’ head coach will have to make at least one change this evening though, with Wiseman Meyiwa suspended following his red card against Wits, while Joseph Molangoane is also on the verge of suspension himself.
