Kaizer Chiefs Return For New Season

Kaizer Chiefs returned to Naturena yesterday to get their preparations for the new season started, with plenty of fresh faces being seen as they underwent their medical tests.

The Amakhosi had medicals yesterday and will today be put through their paces with fitness tests before starting their actual pre-season later this week, and interim head coach, Patrick Mabedi, will get his first look at the likes of Khama Billiat, Virgil Vries and Letlhogonolo ‘Scara’ Mirwa.

Chiefs, on their official Twitter account, posted images of the return of their players to the Village on Monday, with fans getting the chance to see Billiat in Amakhosi gear for the first time since his big move from Mamelodi Sundowns.

In the absence of a new coach since Steve Komphela’s resignation, it will be Mabedi leading the sessions for the Glamour Boys at this point in time, although the club is eager to try and appoint a successor as soon as possible.

Which Chiefs player are you most looking forward to seeing next season?

@@azzaniawest... The last time you ratties won anything was in the 2013/2014 when you won the Nedbank cup and as far as the PSL trophy is concerned you clinched the title in the 2011/2012 season - so don't talk about failures and I don't see why you making so much noise..

@@azzaniawest...... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Nahh my rattie friend we do things differently at Naturena, but in any case the boy was playing in the MDC, and I hope you know that the players in that league are eligible to play for the senior team, just like what we did with Ngezana and they don't have to be registered for the main league..

@@azzaniawest..... HAHAHAHAHAHA.... The Bvuma saga was dealt with so let me school you my rattie friend; the boy was in our development structures so due to injuries to Khune and Khuzwayo, the boy was then called to "help out" in the senior team which he was compensated for - I hope NOW u'll tell ur other friends so that they too would not be mislead by the media..
