Ramahlwe Mphahlele is a workaholic who deserved the Players’ Player of the Season award at Kaizer Chiefs, according to the club’s former player and football legend, Johannes Kholoane.
At Chiefs’ end of the season awards on Thursday last week, Mphahlele bagged the Players’ Player of the Season award, Fair Play Award and was also named as the Online Player of the Season.
The defender had also won the Player of the Month awards for November and May, during the course of the 2016/17 season. ‘Big Boy’, as the legendary Kholoane is known in football circles, praised Mphahlele for his contribution to Steve Komphela’s team this past season.
“He’s a workaholic. He has so much energy, going up and down the flank for 90 minutes, delivering telling crosses into the opponent’s box. Rama always makes a difference when he plays,” Kholoane has been quoted on Chiefs’ official website.
