Motaung’s Call To Amakhosi Stars
Kaizer Chiefs Players Need To Keep Their Stature During The Offseason
Kaizer Motaung has called on the Kaizer Chiefs players to maintain their responsibilities during the offseason while they’re on a break from football.
The Amakhosi players are due back at Naturena on Monday as they get their preseason underway, although at this point in time have seemingly not made a decision on who will be taking them through their paces.
Motaung, who founded the club in 1970, hopes that his players don’t let their standards drop despite the fact that they’re currently not playing, confirming that they know what is expected of them.
He told the club’s official website, “Yes, the players are still on a break, even though responsibility doesn’t go on off-season. The players know very well that they must at all times continue to influence their communities positively.”
Chiefs are expected to return for training on June 25th, with Patrick Mabedi – as things stand – set to continue his role as interim head coach following the exit of Steve Komphela before the end of the 2017/18 season.
