Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates And Mamelodi Sundowns Are All Affected By Suspensions
A whopping 18 different players will be forced to sit out of this weekend’s round of Absa Premiership games, with Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs all affected.
In total it is 11 of the 16 top-flight teams that will have at least one player suspended for the upcoming matches, with Golden Arrows going into their encounter against Platinum Stars with four players out.
Arrows will have to do without Lerato Lamola, Sandile Zuke, Siyabonga Dube and Zolani Nkombelo on Saturday afternoon as they look to sneak into the top eight, while Maritzburg United will also be heavily affected as they go into their clash with Kaizer Chiefs missing Mxolisi Kunene, Richard Ofori and Siphesihle Ndlovu.
Chiefs have Leonardo Castro out for the last two games, with Mamelodi Sundowns missing Gaston Sirino has he serves the second match of his two-game ban. Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City have Marshall Munetsi and Roland Putsche out respectively, while Bidvest Wits and AmaZulu will each be players short as Granwald Scott, Buhle Mkhwanazi and Butholezwe Ncubu sit out that encounter.
Baroka will be without Letladi Madubanya, SuperSport United will be missing Richard Boateng and Free State Stars have Nhlanhla Vilakazi and Sinethemba Jantjie out of contention.
