Kaizer Chiefs Opponents Confirm Their Preparations For The Match
Kaizer Chiefs’ opponents for the Maize Cup have revealed their preparations for the weekend’s match.
Chiefs will play against ABC Motsepe League side Buya Msuthu in the first semi-final of the Maize Cup at James Motlatsi Stadium in Klerksdorp on Saturday.
The match is scheduled to start at 10:00. Chippa United will play against Free State Stars in the other semi-final at 12:00.
Chiefs are expected to give their new signings Khama Biliiat and Letlhogonolo Mirwa a run during the four-team tournament.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Buya Msuthu coach Kabelo Sibiya confirmed his team’s preparations for the match.
“We are in our third week of pre-season and we have some new players that we have been looking at. We could give them a run on Saturday in the Maize Cup. We will be playing a friendly match on Wednesday as part of our preparations for the Maize Cup,” said Sibiya.
“The boys are motivated for a chance to play against a team of Kaizer Chiefs’ calibre. As the technical team, we are working very hard to prepare well for that match. We have roped in a physical trainer in Jabu Mothibi who was previously with Orbit College FC. He’s taking the players through their paces,” confirmed the coach.
