Shabba? Parker? Chiefs Aging Stars Lead The Way

Kaizer Chiefs' Most Influential Players In 2017/18

By Soccer Laduma - Jun 08, 2018 10:00 AM
Kaizer Chiefs need to start putting some faith in their younger players if they’re to turn around their fortunes, although Siphiwe Tshabalala and Bernard Parker were their most influential players last season.
‘Shabba’ directly contributed to more goals and assists (14) last season than any other player in the side as he played 38 games in all competitions, while Parker got nine from 32 games having spent quite a bit of time on the bench.
While the duo are 33 and 32 respectively, one of the other most influential players was young Ryan Moon, a player who got six direct contributions over 18 games, the same amount as George Maluleka, though third place went to Joseph Molangoane (seven).
Chiefs also had nine players who didn’t contribute a single goal or assist throughout the course of the 2017/18 league or cup competitions, something that the new head coach – whoever it may be – will be eager to try and rectify.
Who do you think was Chiefs’ most influential player this past season?

Despite everything that happened at Naturena, Shaba is just that one player that has always been committed to deliver all way through. Good attitude soldier

Honestly!! Bobby is too slow. Perhaps he want to bring the coach after the World Cup. We are now chasing the coach where we should be chasing quality players in market by now. He should have appointed the coach by now. Without the coach we won't be able to sign players. We need the coach urgently because the market is running out of quality players.

The only teams in the world are Sundowns and Real Madrid. Every other team is just an admirer of these two.
