Kaizer Chiefs’ Hendrick Ekstein, who has been remarkable with his performances in recent games for Steve Komphela’s team, has impressed the club’s former star.
The 26-year-old player has started in all of the last five matches for Chiefs in their 2017/18 Absa Premiership campaign. The attacking midfielder also played in both matches for Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout, against AmaZulu and Chippa United respectively.
Former Chiefs midfielder, Junior Khanye, has appealed to Ekstein to keep improving. According to Khanye, Chiefs will need Ekstein to be on top of his game against Bidvest Wits for a chance to proceed to the next stage of the Telkom Knockout.
“I have been impressed with Pule Ekstein with the way he has been performing. I will appeal again to him that he should keep going. Once Pule Ekstein plays to his true potential, Chiefs can win games. Pule Ekstein is going to be vital for Chiefs in this game. Once he can raise his game, Chiefs will win,” said Khanye.
“I’m happy for George Maluleka because he has been doing well. Even if he is not at his best yet, he is starting to show what he is made of. Once George and Ekstein play, Chiefs will win games,” concluded the former star.
Chiefs will be hosted by Wits in their TKO semi-final game at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday.
