Chiefs Star Highlights Amakhosi Ambition
Kaizer Chiefs' Joseph Molangoane Is Ready For Ajax Cape Town
Kaizer Chiefs’ Joseph Molangoane says that the Amakhosi know that Ajax Cape Town will be ‘fighting for dear life’ when they face off today.
The Glamour Boys come up against the Urban Warriors later this afternoon in the final game of the 2017/18 season as they chase a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup and Ajax look to try and secure their place in the Absa Premiership.
Muhsin Ertugral’s side needs a victory to avoid finishing 15th and entering the play-offs, although that is something that they haven’t achieved in a league game against Chiefs since back in 2013.
Molangoane knows that he and his teammates will be up against it in the Mother City, but says that they have a job to do.
Talking to the club’s official website, the versatile former Chippa United man said, “This is going to be a tough match. Ajax are fighting for dear life and they will throw everything at us in this one. It is normal to face teams that raise their game whenever they play against us. You can imagine this time with so much at stake, sparks are going to fly.
“We have experienced a tough season… Be that as it may, we have a job to do. We want to close this chapter on a high. A good closure will give the team the much-needed boost going into the new season.”
Meanwhile, speaking about the man leading them into that final game, ‘Tight’ said, “The coach has instilled a few elements already in a short space of time. All (that’s) needed is to produce the results in the match. We have worked hard to prepare for this match. We want to give our supporters something to cheer about. We also want to go back to continental club competition next season.”
The game at Cape Town Stadium is due to get underway at 15h00.
