Chiefs To Assess Khune Following Allergic Attack?
Itumeleng Khune isn’t having the best of luck recently, and he found out the hard way over the weekend that he’s allergic to prawns.
Khune suffered a facial fracture earlier in the month after a collision with Chippa United’s Kurt Lentjies and almost missed out on two crucial World Cup qualifiers for Bafana Bafana as he tried to recover.
In the end, he made it through by wearing a protective mask for the first game and has since played two matches – one for club and one for country – without it.
Now, as he explained on Instagram, the shot-stopper has had another bout of bad luck, suffering an allergic reaction to some prawns that he ate over the weekend that has seen his lips swell up nastily.
At this point, it remains to be seen whether the goalkeeper will be able to play against AmaZulu tomorrow evening, although it is likely that he will be able to recover in time to feature in Komphela’s starting XI.
