As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, Kaizer Chiefs have begun the search for long-term replacements for Siphiwe Tshabalala and Reneilwe Letsholonyane.
It is thought that Phumlani Ntshangase, who has excelled for Bidvest Wits of late, has been pinpointed as a potential successor for ‘Yeye’ in the future, with Chiefs possibly looking to make a move for him in the next couple of transfer windows.
According to Siya sources, Robert Ng’ambi was also believed to be an option at one stage, however his age is believed to have counted against him in this regard as the Amakhosi attempt to plan for the future.
Ntshangase, 20, has established himself well in the Absa Premiership since making his debut early last year, and managed to land himself the PSL’s Young Player of the Season award for his performances in the 2014/15 campaign.
