Chiefs’ Right Back Position, Numbers For Moleko & Mphahlele

One of the strongest positions in the current Kaizer Chiefs squad is at right-back where Head Coach Giovanni Solinas has the option of choosing between Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Kgotso Moleko for matches.

So far Mphahlele has been dominating and playing regularly since his arrival at the Soweto giants in 2016, while Moleko has not disappointed with his performances whenever he has been given a chance to play.

Since joining Amakhosi from Bloemfontein Celtic at the end of the 2011/12 season, Moleko has played around 60 official matches for the side and is averaging around 10 matches per season from the six seasons at Naturena.

Game-time has been scarce for the defender and Moleko has made only one start under Solinas this season - against Free State Stars last week Tuesday.

Prior to the Ea Lla Koto game, the player’s only contribution was during the first game of the campaign, where he came on as a late substitute for Mphahlele against Mamelodi Sundowns with three minutes to go on the clock.
