All three players were left out of the side on Sunday as the Amakhosi managed to secure their spot in the next round of the Nedbank Cup with a 3-0 win over Golden Arrows, with calf, hamstring and groin strains causing problems for the trio.

Dave Milner, the club’s head physio, told their official website, “We hope to have Maluleka and Páez in full training this week. Maluleka has a calf strain and Paez has a hamstring problem. They are both expected to be ready for the next game.”

Meanwhile, the prognosis isn’t as promising for Zuma, with Milner explaining, “Dumsani Zuma is recovering well from a groin strain. He will be out for this weekend’s match against Cape Town City.”

Chiefs have also confirmed that Willard Katsande will be monitored this week after undergoing facial surgery following a collision against Arrows.

Chiefs host City on Saturday evening at the FNB Stadium.
