Chiefs Register New ‘Keeper

Kaizer Chiefs have registered a new goalkeeper, Brylon Petersen, after the young shot-stopper impressed while on trial with the club.
The Siya crew reported recently that the 20-year-old could sign for the Amakhosi following his third trial spell at Naturena, and it has now been confirmed that he has put pen to paper on a contract at the club.
Petersen, who has been showcasing his skills in the Varsity Football tournament with Wits University, is one of four goalkeepers registered with the PSL by the Glamour Boys this season, with Itumeleng Khune, Brilliant Khuzwayo and Luthando Sixhaso also on the list.
It is as yet unknown how long Petersen has signed on for with Chiefs following his spell with the first team, however, with the three other ‘keepers in front of him it is unlikely that he will play much of a part in 2016/17.
Meanwhile, transfer-listed duo of Siyanda Xulu and Siphelele Mthembu have also been registered with the league, although it remains to be seen how much of a role they will play in Steve Komphela’s side this season.
