After scoring 19 goals in 21 games across all competitions last season under Steve Komphela, the Glamour Boys have already managed to score 18 goals in 11 matches for Solinas, and – at present – are third in the Absa Premiership.
It will come as no surprise that it is Khama Billiat leading the charge for Chiefs following his move from Mamelodi Sundowns at the start of the season, with the Zimbabwean star having directly contributed to nine (50%) of all of his side’s goals in the 2018/19.
Another relatively new signing, Leonard Castro, is not too far behind him with five contributions so far, though his recent ankle injury means that it could be some time before he is able to add to that tally.
After Billiat and Castro, there are three players – Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Philani Zulu and Dumisani Zuma – who have put their hand up with three goal contributions in 2018/19, and Solinas will be happy to see the load being shared.
Meanwhile, in terms of match contribution, only Billiat and Willard Katsande have played all 11 games for the club as they enjoy a bit of a resurgence at Naturena in recent weeks.
