Chiefs Duo Return To Full Training
Steve Komphela has been handed a boost, with Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Kgotso Moleko both returning to full training at Kaizer Chiefs this week.
‘Rama’ hasn’t played for the Amakhosi since August after sustaining a knee injury that has seen him miss almost the entire first half of the 2017/18 season, while Moleko’s last game was later in that same month.
The return of the pair will give Komphela some much-needed options at right back having had to change his formation in order to use Joseph Molangoane as an attacking wingback, but it remains to be seen whether either Mphahlele or Moleko will be back in the team before the Christmas break.
The club said on Twitter today, “Defenders Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Kgotso Moleko have both resumed full training.”
Both players suffered serious knee injuries but are now on the verge of getting back out on the field again.
Chiefs’ next game sees them face Chippa United next Wednesday as they look for their first Absa Premiership victory since October, and they will no doubt take heart from the fact that they beat the Chilli Boys in the Telkom Knockout earlier this month.
