19 Amakhosi Players With Terminated Contracts
Kaizer Chiefs Have Been Releasing Players In Bulk
Over the past three years, Kaizer Chiefs have now announced the exit of 19 players in June, signalling a worrying trend for the transfer policy.

The Amakhosi confirmed last week that William Twala, Edmore Chirambadare, Sibusiso Khumalo and Keagan Buchanan would leave the club despite still having time left on their contracts, while they also explained that Tsepo Masilela’s option wouldn’t be exercised.
Two years ago it was announced that Philani Cele, Ovidy Karuru, Levy Mokgothu, Simphiwe Mtsweni, Shandukani Mulovhedzi, Chris Matombo and Zitha Macheke were having their contracts at Naturena terminated,
Meanwhile, the exits of Siyanda Xulu, Lucky Baloyi, Camaldine Abraw, Lewis Macha, Enocent Mkhabela, Siphelele Mthembu and Michelle Katsvairo were all announced almost exactly a year ago, with the Amakhosi missing out on the chance to either recover some of their lost funds or use them in swap deals.
Chiefs return for pre-season on June 25th without any confirmed news about incoming players, nor a new coach, a fact that will no doubt have some of the Amakhosi faithful starting to bite their fingernails ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
Do you think that Chiefs’ transfer policy is a problem?
