Chiefs Face Another Suspension

Steve Komphela faces another selection poser this weekend, with two of his regular defenders now ruled out by suspension for their clash with Bidvest Wits.
Joseph Molangoane will miss his second game after being given a straight red for an elbow against Baroka last month, with the 29-year-old being forced to sit out the 0-0 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Now, as Chiefs prepare to tackle the Clever Boys, he is likely to bring back Erick Mathoho as a replacement for Teenage Hadebe, a player who picked up his fourth yellow card of the season against Masandawana.
Chiefs could potentially close the gap on Sundowns this weekend if results go their way, while also putting some distance between themselves and Orlando Pirates, following their defeat against Ajax Cape Town.
With Komphela now playing three centre backs – Hadebe, Daniel Cardoso and Siyabonga Ngezana in their last game – it remains to be seen whether this current suspension will lead him to recall ‘Tower’ or change his formation to adapt to the setback.
