The Amakhosi confirmed on Monday that both Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Kgotso Moleko had signed new deals that would keep the pair at Naturena until at least 2021.
‘Rama’, who recently turned 29, signed a two-year deal with a one-year option and will be focused on helping the club bring to an end their current barren run when it comes to lifting silverware.
Middendorp recently got the full back available once again following a long-term injury, and he is likely to play a major role for the club going into the business end of the season with the Absa Premiership and Nedbank Cup.

Speaking to the club’s official website after the duo’s deals were confirmed, the German said, “It is (an) absolute pleasure to have these contracts (extended) so we can focus on delivering on the field… Rama is a leading light in the team. With his experience, age and influence he has a lot to offer in the team.”
Meanwhile, the player himself said, “I’m happy that I extended the contract to remain at this great club, it is now for me to repay the club by winning trophies. It is also a great time to renew the contract seeing that the club is going in the right direction.”
Chiefs’ next game sees them face SuperSport United on Friday night in a clash between fifth and seventh place.
