Kaizer Chiefs' first exit of the January transfer window has been confirmed, with the club announcing the loan departure of one player.
The Siya crew previously reported that Kabelo Mahlasela was set to leave Chiefs on loan this month amid interest from Polokwane City and also Bloemfontein Celtic, however it's now been announced that he is a Rise & Shine player until the end of the season.
A statement on the club's official social media channels today said, "Kaizer Chiefs can confirm the loan move of Kabelo Mahlasela to Polokwane City... Kaizer Chiefs and City agreed that the midfielder will join Rise & Shine on a loan deal, from January 2020 until June 2020."
Meanwhile, their Football Manager, Bobby Motaung, went on to say, “Kabelo remains a talented player and we wish him all of the best with City for the next five months."
Mahlasela will see his Chiefs contract expire at the end of the season, and he's currently able to sign a pre-contract elsewhere.
