Tim Sukazi has confirmed that two European clubs from ‘significant’ leagues have shown an interest in Kaizer Chiefs defender, Erick Mathoho.
The 24-year-old Bafana Bafana international has been in fine form for both club and country in recent months, playing in all four of Shakes Mashaba’s African Cup of Nations qualifiers up to now.
Now, given his impressive showing on the field, it seems that the centre-back is attracting interest from different parts of the world, with two clubs in Europe said to be keen on landing him.
Speaking to the Siya crew, the player's representative, Sukazi, said, “Unfortunately I can’t say which teams they are, or what country they’re in, but I can tell you that they’re from significant leagues in Europe. They’re interested but Erick has a contract with Kaizer Chiefs so we’ll have to see what happens.”
‘Tower’ recently signed a contract at Naturena until 2017, meaning that any club that does wish to land him will have to pay a significant transfer fee to the Amakhosi in order to do so.
