Kaizer Chiefs defender, Tsepo Masilela, is unlikely to feature in the CAF Champions League this weekend, but could return to full training soon.
The 28-year-old left back hasn’t featured for Chiefs at all in February after picking up an injury in the 2-0 win over Moroka Swallows, with a hamstring injury side-lining him for a number of weeks.
It was reported by the Siya crew recently that the defender was on schedule to make a return close to the end of the month, and it seems that he could return to training at some point this week.
However, despite Masilela’s injury improving, it seems highly unlikely that Stuart Baxter will opt to use him on Saturday against Liga Muculmana when the two teams meet in the first leg of their CAF Champions League first round tie.
Chiefs host the Mozambican champions at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday as they look to use their home advantage to help their chances of taking one step closer to the group stages of the tournament.
