Chiefs Without Six Of Their Stars, Why Solinas Is Happy
Kaizer Chiefs Confirm Unavailability Of Six Players As The Team Prepare For Macufe Cup
It has been confirmed by Kaizer Chiefs that the club will be without a total of six players in their training during the FIFA international break.
With the duo of Itumeleng Khune and Ramahlwe Mphahlele currently with Bafana Bafana for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations matches against Seychelles, it has been confirmed by the Amakhosi that four of the club’s other stars will also be with their respective national teams.
Khama Billiat and Teenage Hadebe have been called up for Zimbabwe for their back-to-back AFCON qualifiers against the Democratic Republic of Congo, while Virgil Vries and Godfrey Walusimbi have been called up for Namibia and Uganda respectively for the duration of the FIFA International break.
As Chiefs prepare for Bloemfontein Celtic in the Macufe Cup this weekend, the six stars will report for national duty.
“Amakhosi will be without six players in training (Itumeleng Khune, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Godfrey Walusimbi, Khama Billiat, Virgil Vries and Teenage Hadebe) as they will be representing their national teams during the current FIFA International break,” Chiefs confirmed on the club’s official website.
Solinas has said that he is happy about the break as it would help him and his technical team to focus on the recovery of injured players like Leonardo Castro and Dax Andrianarimanana.
