Kaizer Chiefs football manger, Bobby Motaung, has indicated that they have requested the return of one of their players who is currently out on loan.
Lorenzo Gordinho is currently on loan at Bloemfontein Celtic with his loan deal expected to expire at the end of the year, however Chiefs want him back.
It was reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma that Gordinho’s return to the club is in the balance. Motaung has since confirmed that the have requested his return.
“Football Manager Bobby Motaung confirms that Kaizer Chiefs have sent a letter to Bloemfontein Celtic requesting for Lorenzo Gordinho’s early release from his loan spell with the club. The defender joined the Bloemfontein-based side in January 2018 for a negotiated period of 12 months,” read on the club’s website.
“The player also made a request to return to Chiefs after the reported problems the club has been going through,” Motaung stated on the site.
It now remains to be seen if Celtic do allow Gordinho to return to Naturena before December, or if they will ask the player to see out his contract.
