Kaizer Chiefs coach, Stuart Baxter, says he expects to have Siphiwe Tshabalala back available in around a week’s time, though Bernard Parker will only return for Kaizer Chiefs next month.
According to the club’s head coach, ‘Shabba’ is on track to recover from the knee injury he picked up against Chippa United last month and faces around a week more on the sidelines, while ‘Hond’ still has about four weeks left until recovery.
Baxter told Chiefs’ official website, “We expect Parker back in four weeks’ time while ‘Shabba’ looks likely to return in a week’s time.”
As well as adding that attacker, Matthew Rusike, is “also making a steady return to the training grounds”.
Chiefs have coped well in the absence of Parker and Tshabalala up to now, and both players will be under no illusions that they will have to fight to win their place back in the side if the Amakhosi continue their bright start to the season.
