Chiefs Honoured By FIFA Visit

Kaizer Chiefs Are Ready To Welcome FIFA This Week

By Soccer Laduma - Jan 24, 2018 09:04 AM

Kaizer Chiefs are preparing to host FIFA at the Village this week, and it’s safe to say that they’re pretty chuffed about being chosen alongside Orlando Pirates.

According to a statement from SAFA, the case study ‘aims to showcase successful leagues, clubs, players’ associations and other organisations’.

Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung, spoke of her pride at welcoming football’s governing body to Naturena, saying that they’re looking forward to hosting them.

FIFA’s project will be led by Andres Portabella, a FIFA Professional Football Advisor, and Ahmed Harraz, the Club Licensing manager.

Motaung told the club’s official website, “It is an honour and a huge recognition to be part of the FIFA Professional Football Case Study.

“To be selected as an example of a truly professional football organisation is something special. We look forward to (engaging) with the FIFA delegation in the coming days.

“We are looking forward to (representing) the PSL and the football fraternity. We are excited to showcase how much we have worked to be part of the development of football in South Africa.”

FIFA will visit Kaizer Chiefs between the 24th and 27th of January, attending their clash with Sundowns on Saturday, to ‘conduct a series of interviews and to take footage of the Chiefs Village’.

Why are Dunu fans so bitter about FIFA visit, you might have a star but you still a small team. Just accept and try to grow bigger, that's all you can do.

When astronauts go to the moon the only structure they see on earth is Chinese Wall. When FIFA sits in Zurich and look at South African league the only team they see is Kaizer Chiefs, the giants of S.A football. Viva Khosi4Life Viva

According to The Citizen source, the Soweto giants have been working tirelessly to beef up the squad with the Transfer Window set to close on the 31st of January 2018. Al Ahly forward Phakamani Mahlambi, who joined the Egyptian giants last August, and KV Oostende midfielder Andile Jali could reportedly join Pirates this week. “There will be a big and surprise announcement this week," a source said on the publication. "I don’t know who the players are but they could be Andile Jali and Phakamani Mahlambi. Jali will be returning home while Mahlambi has always said he wants to play for Pirates,” the source concluded. The deepthroat also claimed that Pirates could get Jali and Mahlambi, who are both South Africa internationals, on loan. Jali's agent, Mike Makaab recently confirmed that this client is set to leave Oostende at the end of the season with the former Pirates anchorman's current contract due to expire on 30th of June 2018.

The African Cup Winners' Cup was competition that started in 1975. It merged in 2004 with the CAF Cup to form the CAF Confederations Cup (CCC)

@HDK 732 VP Before we go far, I need to tell you that CCC was formed in 2004 after combining CAF cup won by JS Kabylie of Algeria in 2001 with Mandela cup/ Cup winners cup won by Chiefs in 2001. I repeat, CCC is the product of Mandela cup combining with CAF cup! Now, are you still insisting that Chiefs won CCC? If so, then CCC was won by Chiefs and JS Kabylie in 2001, which is impossible and senseless.

The biggest success of Zebras on the African continent came in 2001, winning the Cup Winners' Cup. Muhsin Ertugral's coached side beat Angola's Interclube in the final. @SL_hated_donkey : your previous question is the same as asking whether the team that won the African Cup of Champions Clubs in 1995 also won Caf Champions League (CCL)! There was no CCL in 1995 , similarly there was no CCC in 2001 but only Mandela Cup won by Kaizer Chiefs and went to play Super Cup. Or answer me which club won Caf Confederations Cup (CCC) in 2001? But surely it was NOT moroka swallows.
