Komphela’s Chiefs Scouting Continues
Kaizer Chiefs Are On The Market For New Players
Steve Komphela says that he’s always on the lookout for new players that can come in and help Kaizer Chiefs improve their squad going forward.
Of the players that were signed by the Amakhosi at the start of the season, only Philani Zulu has managed to make a real impact at Naturena up until now, and Komphela praised the wing back personally when speaking after their 1-0 victory over Platinum Stars.
He told the club’s official website, “Philani has energy and is adding nicely to our attack… That’s why we also brought in Wiseman Meyiwa as a substitute so that our wing backs could continue to go forward.”
But Chiefs do plan on making some acquisitions in January by the sounds of it, with Komphela admitting that they’re out there looking for ‘possibilities’.
He said, “Scouting for new players is a continuing process that doesn’t stop. We will check the market for possibilities.”
Chiefs’ year comes to an end on Saturday when they take on Ajax Cape Town with a slight chance to finish 2017 sitting pretty on top of the Absa Premiership if results go their way.
