Giants Safe As Absa Premiership Trio Suspended
The Absa Premiership is back in action this evening as Orlando Pirates host Chippa United, and three players will have to sit out the midweek encounters in the coming days.
Take a look at the suspensions in the gallery above
Six games will take place ahead of the weekend as the Buccaneers take on Chippa before Maritzburg United do battle with Free State Stars and Bidvest Wits welcome Kaizer Chiefs.
Neither of the Soweto giants has any suspension concerns going into their games, however, the Glamour Boys do have Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya just one yellow card away from a one-game ban after picking up three bookings earlier in the campaign.
Maritzburg and Stars, however, both have suspensions to deal with for their encounter, with Thato Tlhone, Sibusiso Masina and Tshepo Tema all forced to sit out that game as Masina serves the second match of his ban and Thlone/Tema take to the stands following yellows in their previous games.
The first midweek game gets underway at 19h30 tonight as the Buccaneers look to get back to winning ways at home.
