Chiefs & AmaZulu Keen On Varsity Striker?
Word reaching the Siya crew is that two PSL clubs are monitoring NWU striker, Tshenolo Machiswa, following his solid displays in the Varsity Football Competition for North West University.
The 24-year-old previously went on trial with Ajax Cape Town, however he failed to land himself a professional contract, with the club having indicated that they had enough forwards in their striking department at the time.
A source close to the team has told the Siya crew that two clubs have made enquiries into the player’s availability, suggesting that Kaizer Chiefs are one of the two teams.
“I am not sure of the teams, but you know Kaizer Chiefs have a working relationship with North West University so maybe it’s them and a team from Durban. I can’t say who it is, but they are both PSL teams. He scored a hat-trick against UCT and he is very good,” said the source.
The crew has been informed that the second club monitoring the striker are AmaZulu, although the player’s representative, P Management, would not shed any light on this situation.
Called for comment, P Management spokesperson, Vincent Phiri, confirmed to the crew that there is interest in their player, although would not divulge any information.
“Yes, we have received two emails enquiring about Tshenolo and at this moment we don’t want to be talking about which two teams they are, but it’s true they are interested in the player,” Phiri concluded.
