As reported by the Siya crew in issue 991 of Soccer Laduma, Orlando Pirates are said to have discussed Kagisho Dikgacoi, with the experienced player currently a free agent and looking for a new club.
The former Golden Arrows and Bafana Bafana midfielder parted ways with Championship side, Cardiff City at the end of the 2015/16 season.
News coming out of the Pirates camp is that Dikgacoi’s name is being bandied around the Buccaneers’ corridors, with a view to possibly add him to their roster this season.
As he is a free agent, Dikgacoi is not affected by the transfer window that closed at the end of last month and will still be able to join a club of his choice any time.
“Pirates have asked about his (Dikgacoi’s) availability, but at this moment nothing is concrete. I believe the player also spoke to Pitso (Mosimane) a few weeks ago, but one cannot read much (into that) until the clubs make it official. KG is married and wants to settle down in South Africa,” a source told the Siya crew.
The player has been recently linked with Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.
