Official Retirement Confirmed For Dikgacoi, New Role Announced

Kagisho Dikgacoi Confirms New Role After Retirement

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 11, 2018 07:45 PM

Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi has officially confirmed his retirement from professional football at the age of 33.

KG last played during the 2016/17 season with Golden Arrows. The midfielder finished last season without any club in the PSL.

Having also played for English clubs Fulham, Crystal Palace and Cardiff among others in his career, the Free State-born former central midfielder has now officially announced his retirement from playing professionally.

Dikgacoi has confirmed that he has joined National First Division side, Royal Eagles as their assistant coach.

“New beginnings, new chapter.... proud to announce that I signed with Eagles as the assistant coach (Edited),” confirmed Dikgacoi on his Facebook account.

Eagles currently have Roger Sikhakhane as their head coach. With the new developments at the KwaZulu-Natal club, Dikgacoi is set to work alongside the former Chippa United coach as his right-hand man in the new season.
