The 27-year-old joined the Glamour Boys back in January after making the switch from Bloemfontein Celtic, but sustained a bad knee injury shortly afterwards and was ruled out for three months having undergone surgery.
Now, with the 2017/18 season almost at an end, there does seem to be a chance that Mahlasela could get his debut in the gold and black before it is over.
The club’s first team physiotherapist, David Milner, gave an update on the attacker’s progress to their official website, saying “He’s doing very well… Kabelo is playing in warm-up setups. He is participating in passing games while continuing with running and physiotherapy exercises.

“His progress is according to plan. Kabelo will play as an extra man next week and will then go on to participate in full training in two weeks’ time.”
Meanwhile, the club has also confirmed that George Maluleka is in contention to face Baroka in the Nedbank Cup this weekend after making a full recovery from his ankle injury.
