With Chiefs still in with a chance to challenge for the Absa Premiership and Nedbank Cup under coach Ernst Middendorp, Khanye believes that there are players who would make the club’s wishes become a reality if they can be played together regularly to form a winning formula.
“(Mulomowandau) Mathoho (when injury-free and fit) should play regularly, as one of the two centre-backs alongside (Teenage) Hadebe. (Kgotso) Moleko is fine at right-back and (Happy) Mashiane at left-back,” said the ex-Amakhosi star.

“(Dumisani) Zuma is fine playing as a right-winger because Tight (Joseph Molangoane) is out injured. Kabelo Mhlasela can do very well as a left winger and Bernard Parker should focus on his duties up front as a striker. George Maluleka will do wonders for you in the middle of the park alongside Pule Ekstein and Khama Billiat should play in front of them. Put (Ryan) Moon and (Leonardo) Castro on the stands. On the bench, you can have Ramahlwe (Mphahlele) as a back-up and others,” added Khanye.
Meanwhile, Chiefs are preparing to take on SuperSport United in their next league match at the Mbombela Stadium on Friday.
