Only two players from the current Kaizer Chiefs squad have impressed the team’s former star, Junior Khanye, so far this season.

Siphiwe Tshabalala and Itumeleng Khune are the two Chiefs players that play the way Chiefs should, according to the former dribbling star.
“I always talk about Siphiwe Tshabalala and Itumeleng Khune until someone proves me wrong. In my opinion, Tshabalala and Khune are the two players playing like true Chiefs players as we know the club. The two guys are always doing everything in their power to help the team. They know the culture of the club. They know what is expected of them when they step onto the field,” Khanye told the Siya crew.

Despite Khune conceding three goals in their 3-0 loss to Chippa United, the goalkeeper remains an influential and integral member of Steve Komphela’s team, according to Khanye.
“How many times has Khune helped Chiefs from conceding many goals? In that game against Chippa, he stopped (Thabo) Rakhale from scoring (in) a one-on-one situation. That Rakhale chance had goal written all over it. The score could have been four or more. I’m very hurt that Khune conceded three goals because I know he won’t be happy with that. I have played with Khune and I know that he’s not someone who likes defeats like that. He is committed and he has done a lot of good things for Chiefs in the past.
