Khanye Answers To Calls About Getting Into Coaching

Former South African youth international, Junior Khanye, has answered to the calls for him to consider taking coaching as a career.

Since the 2019/20 Absa Premiership season ended, after Mamelodi Sundowns were crowned as the league champions, Khanye gained a lot of fans in social media for having corrently predicted that the Chloorkop outfit would win the title, even though Kaizer Chiefs appeared to be the favourites at some point due to the huge gap they opened on the log standings.

Speaking to the Siya crew, Khanye says he has no interest in coaching at this point in his life as he hasn’t officially retired from playing.

“I have no interest in coaching. I feel like some people do not understand football very well and it’s like they don’t have the knowledge of the game like they should,” said the 35-year-old Daveyton-born star.

Khanye has reiterated that he has still not retired from the game and would listen to any team that is willing to make him an offer for the new season.

“I still want to play. I am not done with football as yet and that’s why I have been reluctant to accept some of the offers I have been getting which have nothing to do with football. I train everyday like any other player and I am available to join any club,” he said.

In September last year, Khanye signed a one-year contract with ABC Motsepe League side Ngwaabe City Motors in Limpopo, a deal which has now come to an end.
