Molangoane & Chiefs Takes Aim At Difficult City
Joseph Molangoane Says Kaizer Chiefs Are Prepared For Cape Town City
Kaizer Chiefs attacker, Joseph Molangoane, is confident that the Amakhosi can beat Cape Town City tonight, but only if they want it more than their opponents.
The Glamour Boys do battle with Benni McCarthy’s Citizens this evening in the Absa Premiership, with both teams being aware that defeat could potentially bring an end to their title challenge.
Molangoane, who will go up against Ramahlwe Mphahlele for the right wing-back spot in Steve Komphela’s side following a return from injury for ‘Rama’, is aware of the threat posed by the Cape Town-based outfit.
He told the media on Thursday, “It’s a difficult game, and through the whole week we’ve been preparing. I think we’ve prepared well, so it’s up to us to show how much we want it now.
“They’re a good team, you can’t take that away from them, and as much as we’ve got quality players, what matters at the weekend is that we put in. It now depends on us and how much we want it. If we put 110% into it then definitely we’ll get a result.”
Chiefs and City sit in fourth and fifth place respectively going into this evening’s game, with Komphela’s ranks only ahead on goal difference at this stage.
Table toppers, Mamelodi Sundowns, are seven points clear of both teams, and will be looking to extend their lead this weekend.
