Former Orlando Pirates winger, Josep Ngake, is confident that his former team has a chance to defeat Kaizer Chiefs this weekend.
Having played for Pirates against Chiefs during his heyday as a professional footballer, Ngake believes that despite their poor form in the league so far this season, Bucs have the quality to edge the Amakhosi in their Soweto Derby on Saturday afternoon.
“It’s going to be a tough one. It’s going to even be tough to predict. As The Buccaneers we are wounded. We are hurting more than Kaizer Chiefs. That will make us more dangerous on Saturday.
“We will win the game or it will be a draw. We want a win right now more than any other team in the country. We need to boost the morale of our players. We need to boost the confidence of the supporters in the team.
“When Pirates and Chiefs play, people should not read too much on the results of the two teams from the other games. It’s going to be a different game altogether. It might go either way. But I say Pirates should win this one or at least get a draw,” said Ngake.
Pirates lost 2-0 in their game against Golden Arrows on Wednesday, while Chiefs are oozing with confidence after their 1-0 win against Mpumalanga Black Aces on Tuesday.
